Well reasoned and well articulated. As a South African working with a social development company into historically disadvantaged communities it is helpful to have an outsider’s perspective on foreign investment. I am acutely aware of the “domination and exploitation” that is possible in developing markets and economies. Your summation of “too much” becoming suddenly “too little” also fits with what is happening here, from my perspective on the ground. Thanks for writing this and I’d love to dip into the book.
