Earlier, economists, very facilely, read ‘difference’ depicted by data as proof of ‘discrimination’ without doing the requisite ground work to arrive at how ‘difference’ leads to ‘discrimination’ or ‘non-inclusion’. Here economists have gone further and produced ‘evidence’ but have used the ‘evidence’ to push their agenda without a thought to the harm such ‘evidence-based’ policy has created.
